Using DirectX®

This screen saver is capable of generated sophisticated 3-D effects.

If your PC has a modern graphics card it can probably make use of these facilities. To generate these effects Ogless has determined that you may need to install or upgrade the version of a Microsoft® component DirectX® installed. For compatibility with a large proportion of PCs we use version 9.04 of this component.

DirectX® is available for download from a number of web sites but we suggest that you get the latest one from Microsoft®'s download area. Clicking Next will automatically launch the browser to take you there.

Using the launch option will pause the installation while you install DirectX. You can then resume the Ogless installation. Alternatively if you skip the DirectX installation, Ogless will automatically pick up the 3-D graphics capabilities if you install a compatible version at some later date.
