Using Ogless

Welcome to Ogless's configuration setting screens.

This and the following screens let you choose how Ogless will operate on your PC.

The most important choice to make is which scheme to use. Ogless is not a boring old repetitive screen saver. It uses over fifty screen saver effects that are then organised into sequences, each of which have billions of possible variations. These sequences are called 'schemes' and Ogless provides many of these for free that come pre-installed or can be downloaded from our web site from the Download page. When you select a scheme the description of the scheme is shown underneath it.

To test the saver scheme you have selected, press Test and the Ogless screen saver will start up using the scheme - this lets you get a quick preview of what a scheme looks like. Please be patient though, because Ogless varies the effects so much you will only get a true appreciation of a scheme by letting it run for several minutes of even hours. It is designed to be 'unpredictable' and unlikely to repeat itself. So each time you press 'Test' for the same 'scheme' you are likely to see a different set of screen effects

Information at the bottom of the screen shows the version of Ogless installed and the state of the license. To get the full range of saver effects and remove occasional nags for payment we would like you to buy a license for Ogless - so we can keep on improving it.
