Ogless arranges its battery of saver effects into 'schemes'. The main choice you make when running Ogless is which scheme you wish to run. There are dozens of them and you can choose whichever one suits your mode or you can get Ogless choose one of them at random for you. Some schemes are dedicated to showing off one particular saver effect others are arranged for a spectacular screen display, others for a more artistic feel.
You can download new schemes from our web site from within the screen saver itself. Here are Ogless's 'special' schemes:
| Name | Description |
| Preview | Cycles quickly through all the available screen effects so that you can get some idea on the overall capability of the Ogless screen saver. |
| Favorites | Stores the effects that you have personally selected (You can save a screen effect by pressing the F1 key when Ogless is running). These effects are 'frozen' and when you select this scheme the effects should be repeated exactly as you saw them when they were saved. |
| Hourly | Chooses one of the other schemes 'at random' and runs that scheme for an hour. This lets you see a huge amount of variation over a week or two. |
| Daily | Chooses one of the other schemes 'at random' and runs that one for a whole day. By running the same scheme for a whole day you get a full appreciation of each scheme - and you do not know what you will see tomorrow. |
| Sleep | When your PC has been inactive for a long while you may want to shut it down completely. Most PCs now have an automatic monitor off setting, you can get Ogless to help with this too. You can select a time delay after which Ogless switches to a low load and low brightness saver mode and will stay like that indefinitely. This is ideal for when you want to run Ogless for short periods away from the desk but not, for example, overnight. |
Here is a list of some of the available schemes - some are included with the screen saver, others you can download at any time from our web site.
