The Quaternion fractal is the slowest effect we offer currently, a fast processor at full tilt takes a fair old time to produce the complete image. The wait however is worth it. Intricate details are produced like some mossy lifeform and yet a few spirals here and there give away the fact that it is indeed a fractal. Quaternions use imaginary numbers to the power four rather than the normal two and can be used to create impressive 3-D images of fractals.
